Right now our guides focus on metal detectors for adults: which models suit a first hunt, what waterproof really means and which small gear to buy next. More product areas will follow.
What we do
We read the product details, specs and maker information for every product we cover. We also look at what buyers often say after using one.
Then we turn it all into plain guides, side-by-side comparisons and clear picks. You can read more on our How we research page.
What we don't do
We don't sell products, and no brand pays us to rank its products.
We don't claim to have tested every product ourselves. When we pick something, we tell you why, based on its specs, its features and buyer feedback.
Rules for metal detecting differ by park, beach and historic site. Ask the land owner or the local authority before you detect or dig.
